LONDON — Leading U.K. indie All3Media is poised to expand its activities in Germany following an agreement to buy local production house MME Moviement.
The offer, which values MME Moviement at Euros 78.3 million, ($103 million) involves buying approximately 39% of the producer’s stock at Euros 7 ($9.50) a piece.
All3Media, whose London HQ oversees offices in the U.S., Germany, the Netherlands and Oz, already owns 42% of MME Moviement, one of Germany’s largest independent TV producers.
All3Media CEO Steve Morrison said: “MME Moviement has a very talented group of production companies run in a similar creative culture to ourselves.
“For All3Media, this is a milestone in our development towards an international independent TV production group.”
The ambitious and acquisition hungry All3Media was founded in 2003 by ex-Granada topper Morrison, and has since bought up U.K. indies at an impressive rate.
MME Moviement’s shows include “Zwei bei Kallwass” (Sat 1), “Richterin Barbara Salesch” (Sat 1) and “Tatort” (ARD).
In 2005 the combo generated sales worth approximately Euros 88 million ($116 million).
All3Media hopes the deal will be completed by May.
