A new study reveals that guys are loco for logos

Does your man covet your Chanel carry-all? Ever catch him ogling your Louis Vuitton agenda?

A new study from the Luxury Institute reveals that men are more obsessed with labels than women when they purchase handbags. (I would kick my husband if he ever complained that his briefcase was “so last season.”) Apparently, 73 percent of men–compared with 50 percent of women–were more inclined to choose a luxury label when picking out a handbag. Also, men were three times more likely to opt for Chanel.

Here’s my take on this study: the majority of the men surveyed were total fashion dandies. Notice that they use the term “handbag” instead of satchel or briefcase. If a man is going to buy a handbag, his options are rather limited. Only luxury brands like Dior, Chanel, and Prada even dare to make purses for guys. And quite frankly, I don’t ever want to turn to my man and say, “Honey, is that my Chanel caviar clutch or yours?”
