Norman Barnett has been promoted to senior VP of production services for Warner Bros. Studio Facilities to replace Ron Stein, who’s retiring at the end of March.
Barnett will oversee and manage production services — including construction, production support and technical services — at the Warner lot in Burbank. He’ll also retain oversight of the post-production sound department, where he was most recently senior VP for six years.
In his previous slot, Barnett supervised both the facilities and staff responsible for sound editorial, Foley, automatic dialogue replacement, dubbing, scoring, re-recording, sound design and music composition. He was also involved in the recent multiyear renovation of the facilities.
Barnett also served three years as senior VP-general manager of Warner Hollywood Studios. Before joining Warner, Barnett was president of Raleigh Studios.
Stein’s career in TV production and operations spans more than 40 years. He began working for the Burbank Studios as section director of Audio Visual Services and remained at the lot when it was renamed Warner Bros. Studio Facilities in 1990.
