TV vet was with the company for 41 years

Longtime NBC exec Richard Rettig died July 5 in Valencia, Calif. of pancreatic cancer. He was 64.

Rettig joined NBC in 1965 and was with the company for 41 years, until his retirement in October 2006.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth; daughter Jennifer McIntosh, a VP at World Wrestling Ent.; sons, James and Daniel, a publicity exec at Focus Features; a grandson and two brothers.

Donations may be made to the Motion Picture and Television Fund.
