Gretchen Mol has been tapped to round out the cast of Lifetime’s upcoming telepic “The Memory Keeper’s Daughter.”
Mol will star opposite Dermot Mulroney and Emily Watson in the longform, which is set for a March bow.
Movie is based on the bestselling Kim Edwards novel. Mick Jackson (“Tuesdays With Morrie”) is onboard to direct.
Mol, currently on screens in “3:10 to Yuma,” will play a woman who gives birth to twins — one of whom has Down syndrome and is secretly raised by another woman after Mol’s character is told the child died at birth.
Mol’s film credits also include “The Shape of Things,” “Sweet and Lowdown” and “The Notorious Bettie Page.” On TV, she was a regular on the brief David E. Kelley drama “Girls Club,” and starred in the CBS telepic “Valley of Light.”
Jaffe/Braunstein Films is producing “The Memory Keeper’s Daughter,” with Howard Braunstein and Michael Jaffe as exec producers. John Pielmeier wrote the script, adapted from Edwards’ book.
