Twentieth Century Fox TV has bumped Patrick Moran up to senior vice president of drama, making him the No. 2 exec in the department.
Under the new multiyear deal, Moran will report to drama exec VP Jennifer Nicholson Salke.
“He’s a fantastic manager helping to oversee development and launch our new series,” Nicholson Salke said. “He’s an integral part of the team here at 20th.”
Moran will work with writers, develop new network projects and scout talent and series ideas for the studio.
The exec spent the past four years as VP of drama development at the studio. Moran has helped develop skeins such as “Bones” and “Prison Break” and this fall is overseeing the launch of ABC drama “Women’s Murder Club.”
Before 20th, Moran served as VP of drama at UPN, developing shows such as “Platinum,” the revived “The Twilight Zone” and “The Dead Zone,” which ultimately moved to USA.
The exec’s credits include stints at Renaissance Pictures (“Xena: Warrior Princess”) and New Line TV.
