Bravo woos ‘Millionaire’ dating show

Stanger a perfect 'Match' for material

The network that birthed “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” is now planning to unleash some makeover magic on millionaires.

During her upfront presentation to advertisers today, Bravo topper Lauren Zalaznick is expected to announce a series order for “Millionaire Matchmaker,” a weekly skein in which lovelorn rich guys get help finding the women of their dreams. Skein will star Patti Stanger, founder of a Los Angeles-based elite matchmaking service that charges up to $150,000 per year for its services.

Intuitive Entertainment and Bayonne Entertainment (“Minding the Store”) will produce the skein, with Kevin Dill, Mechelle Collins and Rob Lee exec producing.

Millionaire Matchmaker” will follow Stanger and her mostly female staff as they give their big-bucks clients complete makeovers, using an arsenal of personal shoppers, date coaches and therapists. Skein also will look at how Stanger deals with the challenges of running the business and her own personal life.

Stanger founded the Millionaire’s Club this year, having previously served as director of marketing for dating service Great Expectations.

Zalaznick meets advertisers coming off another successful year at the network, which continues to thrive with skeins such as “Project Runway” and “Top Chef.” Cabler just notched its highest-rated quarter yet.

Bravo also has a thing for upscale skeins, from “Million Dollar Listing” to “The Real Housewives of Orange County.”
