TEL AVIV — Canadian singer Bryan Adams will perform live Oct. 18 at the Jericho Stadium in the West Bank in the Palestinian territories.
The singer will be on stage with Arab and Palestinian groups including Ilham al Madfai and rappers DAM.
At the same time as the Jericho event, there will be a concert in HaYarkon Park in Tel Aviv that will feature live music from local Israeli musicians, speeches by celebrities, activists and a laser show.
The two events are part of the One Million Voices movement, which believes that it is time for the people of Palestine and Israel to take charge of their future.
That’s why the events, billed as The People’s Summit, will be free to the public. The only proviso is that attendees will be required to sign a mandate pledging their support for the two parties’ leadership to negotiate a two-state solution to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Signed mandates will be delivered to the Israeli Knesset and the Palestinian Legislative Council.
