Authority, Canal pact on initiatives

SINGAPORE – France and Singapore signed a memorandum of understanding in the digital entertainment sector. Singapore’s media Development Authority and France’s Canal France International agree to develop bilateral training initiatives and to develop co-productions. Earlier this year, the two countries embarked on the first-ever France-Singapore television co-production, “Déjà vu”, between France’s Project Images Films and Singapore’s Mega Media.

Singapore is busily putting together a web of political and economic treaties to help its film, TV and digital content industries play a role on int’l stage. Earlier in the week Singapore signed a memo with the Philippines.
