JoAnne Worley joins ‘Wicked’

Thesp to play Madame Morrible in L.A. production

JoAnne Worley will join the Los Angeles production of “Wicked,” portraying Madame Morrible beginning Jan. 9.

On Jan. 1, Caissie Levy will take over the role of Elphaba and Michael Drolet begins as Boq. Marcie Dodd plays Nessarose.

Levy most recently played Penny Pingleton on the national tour and Broadway productions of “Hairspray.” She is the understudy for Eden Espinosa, the current Elphaba.

Dodd, an understudy for Elphaba and Nessarose, and Drolet are members of the ensemble.

Worley recently appeared on Broadway in “The Drowsy Chaperone” and in the Encores! production of “Follies.”
