LaBute’s ‘Some Girl(s)’ set for Geffen

Play set for second production of season

Neil LaBute will direct his play “Some Girl(s)” at the Geffen Playhouse’s Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater as the second production on the season’s schedule.

LaBute asked that the work be staged in the Geffen’s intimate space instead of the mainstage, where it was set to be a part of the 2008-09 season. LaBute became enamored with the Audrey after his “Fat Pig” appeared there last year.

Play, produced previously in London and Off Broadway, is set to open Feb. 6 and close March 9, with LaBute directing it for the first time.

Some Girl(s)” is the story of a guy (fittingly dubbed Guy) who travels between nondescript hotel rooms meeting with the girls of his past.
