‘Yonder’ having money troubles

$7 million film is directed by Robert Young

Norwegian-English co-production “Wide Blue Yonder,” starring Lauren Bacall and Brian Cox, has run into money trouble.

Actors and crew have not been paid close to $1.2 million in wages and the material that was shot during the last eight days has been impounded in Norway while talks are underway to resolve the crisis. Tom Eilertsen, from the Norwegian Producers’ Assn., is leading negotiations.

The $7 million pic is helmed by Robert Young and produced by Norway’s Parkland Films and U.K.-based Euromax Filmproduction.
