First Look sets a green theme

Studio, Shorewood team on eco-friendly plan

First Look Studios will partner with Shorewood Packaging to develop a tree-planting program aimed at offsetting emissions generated by the manufacturing of 1 million DVD packages.

With the assistance of Shorewood, First Look Studios has also switched to 100% recycled Prokote paperboard Flip-Paks for its screeners. Paper usage is also being reduced by printing marketing information directly on the Flip-Paks. Package printing will be water-based coated instead of UV, and final product wraps will be made of 30% recycled paper.

In addition, First Look products will offer consumers instructions on package recycling.
