ContentFilm picks up ‘Daisy Chain’

Thriller stars Samantha Morton

ContentFilm Intl. has picked up worldwide rights to supernatural thriller “The Daisy Chain,” starring Brit thesp Samantha Morton.

Aisling Walsh (“Song for a Raggy Boy”) will helm from a script by Lauren MacKenzie.

Lensing is set to start Oct. 29. Morton plays a grieving mother who moves to a remote Irish village with her husband, played by Steven Mackintosh, following the death of their baby daughter. The couple take in a disturbed and orphaned autistic girl called Daisy, only for a series of strange occurrences to start taking place linked to the girl.

Subotica Entertainment’s Tristan Orpen Lynch and Dominic Wright will produce the U.K./Irish co-production.

ContentFilm Intl. is co-financing the film with the Irish Film Board, the Wales Creative IP Fund, the Limelight Fund and the Broadcast Commission of Ireland.
