John Wells has hired veteran studio exec Claire Rudnick Polstein as president of the motion picture division of John Wells Prods.
Rudnick Polstein will look to set up projects and shepherd a slate that includes an adaptation of James Frey memoir “A Million Little Pieces” that Wells is producing with Plan B, an adaptation of Stephen Carter thriller “The Emperor of Ocean Park” and “Myth.”
“Claire is an exceptionally talented and respected executive with a wonderful reputation, experience and great integrity,” said Wells.
Rudnick Polstein most recently was a senior production exec at DreamWorks. Prior to that, she was exec veep of production at New Line.
JWP, which most recently exec produced “Infamous,” also funds Christine Vachon and Pam Koffler’s Gotham-based Killer Films.
