Stockholm to open with Fares’ Leo

Thriller was shot secretly

STOCKHOLM — Josef Fares’ thriller “Leo” will world premiere as the opening pic of the Stockholm Film Festival on Nov. 15.

Low-budget work, which the acclaimed helmer shot secretly, stars Leonard Terfelt, Shahab Salehi and Fares himself.

Story is about a 30 year old guy who, on a walk after his birthday party, experiences something that changes his life forever.

“Leo” is Fares’ fourth feature, following “Jalla! Jalla!,” “Kops” and “Zozo,” all of which were produced by Anna Anthony at Memfis Film.

Stockholm Film Festival runs Nov. 15-25.
