Guido Rud’s Buenos Aires-based FilmSharks has taken worldwide sales rights outside Argentina to the “Big Chill”-ish “Regresados 82,” from directorial duo Flavio Nardini and Cristian Bernard.
Shot in Super 16, pic screened Sunday in the Berlinale’s Works in Progress from Latin America, organized by Argentina’s INCAA film institute.
“Regresados” requires either co-production coin or pre-sales to complete, FilmSharks prexy Rud said at Berlin. Offers are in from Spain and South Korea, he added.
“Regresados” kicks off at a 20th anniversary high-school reunion in Buenos Aires.
Pic adds local color to FilmShark’s eclectic bevy of pickups for Berlin. These include Turk serial killer thriller “Shattered Soul,” Chinese pic “Soul Carriage,” Korean kids drama “Boy Director” and British helmer Conrad Clark’s “El Segundo,” a sci-fi drama in Spanish and English set on the Texan border.
