NYU students lead pack at Angelus

Winning films will be chosen on Oct. 27

Six finalists from NYU were represented in the 2007 Angelus Student Film Festival’s 23 finalists.

The finalists were selected from over 400 entries representing 141 film schools and will be divided into three categories: live action, animation and documentary.

Three films from Stanford students and two each from USC and Columbia were chosen as well.

The winning films will be announced and screened as part of the fest at the Director’s Guild of America on Oct. 27.

Almost $25,000 in cash and prizes will be given to the winning filmmakers including $10,000 for the Patrick Peyton Award for Excellence in Filmmaking.
