Moodysson making ‘Mammoth’

Film will be director's first in English

In October, Lukas Moodysson starts shooting “Mammoth,” his first English-language pic and most ambitious project yet.

With a budget of 70 million kronor ($10 million) and global shoot that will use locations in Sweden, the U.S., Thailand and the Philippines, the project is a

stark departure from helmer’s latest experimental films.

English-language pic is being cast by U.S.-based casting director Avy Kaufman.

Story centers around a successful New York couple, their 8-year-old daughter and her Filipino nanny. During a business trip to Thailand the husband

decides to change his life setting in motion a dramatic chain of events.

In a statement, Moodysson said pic will be much closer to “Together” and “Lilya 4-Ever” than anything he has done lately.
