Hayes becomes Working VP

Previously served as a creative exec

Evan Hayes has been promoted to VP of development at Working Title Films.

He’ll remain based in the Los Angeles office of the London-headquartered company, where he’s been serving as a creative exec.

Hayes will continue to report to Working Title prexy Liza Chasin.

At Working Title, he’s been involved in the development of “Definitely Maybe,” directed by Adam Brooks and starring Ryan Reynolds, Rachel Weisz and Isla Fisher. He also worked on “Smokin’ Aces,” the black comedy directed by Joe Carnahan and starring Ryan Reynolds, Ray Liotta and Jeremy Piven.

Hayes is working on the pics “Bad News Inc.,” “Everest,” “Food Fight” and “The Suicide Squad.”

Hayes started at Working Title in 2002 as a set production assistant on Neil LaBute’s “The Shape of Things.”

Working Title is co-chaired by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner. Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NBC Universal and produces exclusively for Universal Pictures. Recent releases include “United 93” and Phillip Noyce’s political thriller “Catch a Fire.”
