Have you ever been to the Pusan Intl. Film Festival before?
This is my first visit to the festival, although three of my films have screened here in the past.

What do you feel sets Pusan apart from other fests?
I’m looking forward to finding out.

What are your festival expectations?
To get a look at some of the great new films that are coming out of Asia.

What are you most looking forward to?
I really want to take this opportunity to meet some of the new Asian directors and see where the conversation goes.

Who’s your favorite Asian filmmaker?
Hard to limit it to one: Akira Kurosawa…Kim Kiduk… Park Chan-wook…

How about favorite Asian actor or actress?
Again, a tough choice. I might have to say Toshiro Mifune.

Who are you most looking forward to meeting at the festival?
My colleagues from the jury and whoever else I bump into.

What’s your favorite Korean dish?
Looking forward to trying Korean cooking for the first time. I’ve heard great things.

Can we anticipate running into you at a beach bar during the fest?
Very probably.

What will you be drinking?
A nice glass of good wine.
