Juli Goodwin has been tapped to head up the publicity and promotions department at Warner Bros. Pictures.
She’ll keep her current title of senior VP of publicity; previously, publicists reported to exec VP of marketing Debbie Miller.
Goodwin will oversee all film-related activities and materials for the studio’s domestic releases, coordinating national and field teams. She’ll report directly to Miller.
Warner prexy of domestic marketing Dawn Taubin said Goodwin has spearheaded some of the studio’s most imaginative and successful publicity campaigns since joining the studio in September 2000 as a VP of publicity. She was promoted to senior VP in 2004.
Goodwin has worked on films including “Million Dollar Baby,” “Batman Begins,” “The Polar Express,” the “Matrix” franchise, “Syriana,” “Mystic River” and, more recently, “Blood Diamond.”
Before Warner, Goodwin worked at Fine Line Features, establishing the company’s West Coast publicity office. By the time she left Fine Line, Goodwin was running the publicity department, championing titles including “Shine” and “The Sweet Hereafter.”
