Warner Independent will give Evan Greenberg’s “Dance of the Mirlitons” a twirl.
Greenberg will direct the project based on his script, a dark comedy about an ambitious yet overweight ballerina with an overbearing mother who will stop at nothing to become a star. Title comes from “The Nutcracker Suite.”
Original Films’ Neal Moritz and Tania Landau are producing.
Greenberg is doing a rewrite of “Dramarama” for Warner Bros. He is repped by CAA and Benderspink.
