HONG KONG — Recently promoted by Warner Bros. Pictures Intl., Erlina Suharjono has been named by the CineAsia exhibitors’ convention as distributor of the year.
She will receive her award at the ceremony that closes the event in Macau on Dec. 6.
Mitch Neuhauser, co-m.d. of the event, said Suharjono is being honored for her significant achievements in the distribution and marketing of American-made films in the Asia Pacific region, including China.
Suharjono is senior VP Asia distribution for WBPI, and recently assumed duties as chief rep of Warner New Asia, supervising the distribution of American-made films in China. She is based at the division’s Hong Kong office and reports to Veronika Kwan-Rubinek and Sue Kroll, Warner’s presidents of distribution and marketing, respectively.
“In the world of distribution, you couldn’t ask for a more dedicated and respected professional who has done so much for her company in bringing American films into the hearts and minds of so many moviegoers throughout the Asia Pacific region,” Neuhauser said.
