Fox Shines During CNN’s Debate

These are figures from Fox News, but they report that its "O’Reilly Factor" beat a portion of CNN’s Republican debate coverage on Tuesday night. O’Reiolly captured 2.3 million viewers while CNN totaled 2.1 million for its 8-9 p.m. EST coverage.

Granted, that still is a hefty viewership for a debate this early. But it makes you wonder: What is turning people away: The GOP field, or simply Wolf Blitzer?

Fox News’ tactic of placing Fred Thompson on "Hannity & Colmes" immediately after the debate ended seems to have worked. The presumptive contender’s appearance immediately following the debate drew 1.6 million viewers to the 1.2 million who watched Anderson Cooper’s post-debate analysis on CNN.
