The WGA’s organizers continue to come up with inventive ways to attract attention — and keep morale up — as the strike heads into its second month. The guild’s tapping into the massive “Star Trek” fan base next Monday at Paramount, long time home of the franchise.

“The writers of all Star Trek incarnations will join us on the picket line,” organizers said. “Whether you wrote 1 episode or 93, we want to honor you for the enormous contribution you have made to the creative community, the world and Paramount!”

The event will feature performances by the Intergalactic Blues Band.

“Don’t be shy,” organizers said. “If you’ve got a costume, this is the perfect time to show it off.”

Other events set for next week include Bring An Actor Friend to the Line Day on Tuesday; Diversity Picketing Day on Wednesday from noon to 3 p.m. at Paramount and indie film screenwriters and their  supporters at Paramount at the Melrose Gate from 11 am to 2 pm. on Thursday.
