BERLIN — Former NBC Universal Global Networks Germany topper Olaf Castritius has been appointed to head GE Commercial Finance’s Media, Communication & Entertainment (MCE) division in Germany.
GECF is one of the biggest capital lenders in Germany’s cable TV market.
MCE handles a worldwide financial volume of $8 billion.
Ken Goldsbrough, managing director GECF Europe MCE, said Castritius would be responsible for further developing media, communications and entertainment in German-language territories.
Castritius ankled GE subsid NBC Universal Global Networks shortly after taking over the post from Wolfram Winter, who exited the company at the beginning of the year. Prior to that, Castritius headed business development and strategy at NBC U Global Networks Germany and served as managing director of NBC U’s free-to-air web Das Vierte.
Winter has since moved to paybox Premiere, where he heads the new Premiere Sky pay TV satellite platform.
