‘Rocky:’ win or lose?

Two endings were filmed in Las Vegas for the fight sequence in “Rocky Balboa.” In one it’s Rocky over Antonio Tarver, the other — it’s Tarver the winner. Exec producer Irwin Winkler says, “If I had my way, he (‘Rocky’) will lose.” But it’s up to the producers Charles and David Winkler and William Chartoff.

Winkler reminds that in the first “Rocky,” Stallone lost — “although most people think he won!” The pic now moves to Philly locations. Irwin further reveals he agreed to make “Rocky 2” for UA — only to get their OK (finances) for him to make “Raging Bull!” Meanwhile Winkler, pere is also readying to direct “The Home of the Brave,” about three National Guardsmen (one, an injured girl) who return from Iraq — and the adjustments they have to make. Yes, shades of “Best Years of Our Lives.”
