MIAMI — MTV Networks Intl. has upped Melisa Quinoy to executive VP of the newly christened Viacom Brand Solutions — Europe, effective immediately.
Division previously was called Intl. Marketing Partnership.
Quinoy had been senior VP of international marketing partnerships and ad sales for MTV Networks Latin America, based in Miami.
Quinoy will be based in London and will report to Simon Guild, chief executive, MTV Networks Europe.
Quinoy is charged with managing multiterritory, pan-regional and Europe-based global clients in their efforts across networks and media platforms.
Last year, MTVNI launched 19 new European channels across brands. It has announced plans to launch five more channels this year: MTV Estonia, MTV Latvia, MTV Lithuania, MTV Ukraine and a comedy channel in Germany.
In digital media, MTVNI recently launched 12 mobile TV channels for such brands as MTV, Nickelodeon and Paramount Comedy Channel, reaching nearly 70% of Europe’s 3G subscribers. MTVNI also is launching broadband services across Europe, most recently unveiling MTV Overdrive in the U.K.
