CBS Paramount Television has extended its output agreement with Haim Saban’s German broadcast group ProSiebenSat 1 ahead of schedule, guaranteeing it rights to major upcoming fare such as “Mission: Impossible 3” and “Charlotte’s Web.”

Deal, valued in the low triple-digit millions, will give ProSiebenSat 1 exclusive free TV broadcast rights to future feature film and series productions from CBS and Paramount Pictures into the next decade.

“This film package completes our supply of high-quality Hollywood productions for some years to come,” ProSiebenSat 1 topper Guillaume de Posch said Thursday.

“It guarantees for the long term that we will remain the place to go for premium film entertainment on German TV. The early extension of the contract bears witness to how well our companies have cooperated,” he said.

ProSiebenSat 1 has output agreements with virtually every other major Hollywood studio, filmmaker and leasing agent.

Company — Germany’s largest broadcaster — recently acquired film packages from Spyglass and Sony Pictures.
