Spanish-language U.S. sports net Fox Sports en Espanol is going into print.
The channel’s parent, Fox Pan American Sports, has partnered with New York-based Cuatro Media to produce and distribute a monthly magazine for the U.S. Hispanic market, which launches March 23 with an April issue.
The “Fox Sports en Español” magazine will be distributed via Hispanic newspapers with an initial circulation of 750,000. It will go into Tribune’s Hoy, in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago; Houston Chronicle’s La Voz and La Vibra; Dallas Morning News’ Al Dia; and Knight Ridder’s La Estrella in Fort Worth and El Nuevo Herald in Miami.
It will also be available by paid subscription.
“ESPN Deportes La Revista”, a Spanish-language edition of ESPN magazine, launched in key Hispanic markets around the U.S. last summer. It is published by ESPN with Editorial Televisa, a division of the Mexican media conglom.
