LONDON — BBC Worldwide, the pubcaster’s commercial arm, has inked licensing deals for tyke toon “The Secret Show” to webs in France, Hong Kong, Finland, Russia and the Middle East.
This brings the total number of territories that have bought the program, made by U.K. indie Collingwood O’Hare, to 13.
The toon, aimed at 7 to 12 year olds, will also bow on Virgin transatlantic flights from Dec. 1.
Worldwide also has licensed “Charlie and Lola,” the BAFTA-nommed toon made by U.K. indie Tiger Aspect, to three broadcasters — IRIB in Iran, TVB in Hong Kong and Playhouse Disney in Spain.
Other recent Worldwide kid sales include: “Snow Queen” to Al-Jazeera’s children’s channel, and “World of Peter Rabbit & Friends” and “Tale of Peter Rabbit & Beatrix Potter” to Momo TV in Taiwan.
