Upward mobility

Take home decor for a Spin

We first saw Spin Mobiles at last month’s CA Boom show in Santa Monica. Created by sisters Michelle Berlin and Dee Dee Ploog from wood laminates and formica, some of our favorite Jetsons-esque mobiles hang low enough to double as a room divider.

“All of our designs are very architectural,” says Ploog, who is based in Portland, Ore. “We know where our mobiles are going to live, so they need to belong there.”

Spin Mobiles are available at Altered Space Gallery in Venice and online at Spinmobiles.com.
