Steven Eckholdt (“CSI: Miami”) has joined the CW drama pilot “Split Decision,” while Esai Morales (“NYPD Blue”) has been added to CBS’ drama project “Company Town.”

Eckholdt will play Ted in “Split Decision,” which follows a teenage girl and what her life would be like if she sat next to the cool kids on the first day of school — vs. if she sat next to the geeks.

Eckholdt’s TV resume also includes “It’s Like, You Know,” “Grapevine” and “My Big Fat Greek Life.” He recently guested on “Desperate Housewives” and “Half & Half.”

“Split Decision” comes from Spelling TV, CBS Paramount Network TV and Warner Bros. TV. Also joining the cast is Susan Walters (“The Young and the Restless”) as Dede.

As for Morales, thesp will play Ray in “Company Town,” the CBS Paramount Network TV drama about government officials living in suburban Washington, D.C.

Morales’ other credits include “Resurrection Blvd.” and “Paid in Full.”

Other castings include:

  • Sandy Martin (“Napoleon Dynamite”) as Delight in Fox’s drama pilot “Southern Comfort,” from 20th Century Fox TV, about the wife of a Southern mob boss.

  • Joe Manganiello (“So Notorious”) as a former hockey player-turned-AA group leader in the Eye pilot “Edison,” from Touchstone TV and CBS Paramount Network TV.
