NEW YORK — T.C. Schultz has been promoted to senior VP and managing director, Latin America, for Sony Pictures TV Intl.
Relocating from Los Angeles to SPTI’s Latin American headquarters in Miami, he assumes the position previously held by Keith LeGoy, who was recently upped to exec VP of distribution for the international TV unit (Daily Variety, April 25).
Schultz is responsible for the management of SPTI’s licensing operations, channels (SET, AXN, Animax and its investments in HBO Ole and E! Entertainment in that region), ad sales and production operations for Latin America, Brazil and the Caribbean.
He reports to SPTI prexy Michael Grindon, who made the announcement Monday.
“T.C.’s exemplary work for SPTI’s international networks group led to the continued successes of our SET and AXN channels in Latin America as well as the successful launch of Animax,” Grindon said.
Schultz had been SPTI’s senior VP, international networks, since 2000.
Before joining the Sony arm, Schultz was exec VP of pan-European station group SBS. He also held positions at Hearst-owned WBAL and Katz Television.
