Sasse tops Senator

World Brief

Fresh out of insolvency, Senator Entertainment has reshuffled its exec board, with new owner Helge Sasse now the group’s chief exec.

Sasse, a media attorney, and Los Angeles-based producer Marco Weber headed the consortium that took over the company last year.

Weber will oversee production and distribution, while former topper Christopher Borgmann is shifting to chief operating officer.

Company posted revenues last year of E15.4 million ($18.7 million) and a pre-tax loss — due to asset writedowns — of $8.1 million.

Sasse and Weber and their backers purchased Senator from Deutsche Bank in October and control 36% of the company.
