MTV Networks Africa relocates head office

World Brief

MTV Networks Africa has relocated its head office to Johannesburg as part of the network’s growth strategy and to increase its resonance with African TV audiences.

The move to South Africa follows the launch of MTV’s first African TV channel, MTV Base, in 2005. Since its launch, the channel has developed from a pay-TV channel on Multichoice’s satellite service to a pan-African TV network with terrestrial exposure in Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana and South Africa.
