Fox TV Studios is beefing up its alternative development unit, upping a pair of key execs.
Cathy Veisel, who’s heading development of ex-“Seinfeld” scribe Spike Feresten’s latenight pilot for Fox, has been promoted to VP of alternative development. Stephanie Van Hoff, meanwhile, has been upped to director.
“Both Cathy and Stephanie have been instrumental in helping grow our alternative development slate,” Jacobs said, citing the duo’s ability to develop talent and their production expertise as reasons for their promotions.
Veisel has been at the studio for six years, handling both development and production. In addition to the Feresten pilot, she’s creative exec on the studio’s A&E skein “Inked.”
Van Hoff came to FTVS in 2004 from Fox Broadcasting. She’s working with Blighty producer Simon Andreae, who has an overall deal with the studio.
