Tuesday’s launch of “Just My Luck” at Westwood’s National Theater wasn’t so much a premiere as a teenybopper promotion — which suited everyone just fine, especially the hordes of giddy adolescent girls out to see star Lindsay Lohan.
“There are very few young actresses that can make an event just by showing up,” said Regency Enterprises prexy Sanford Panitch. “She’s one of them.”
Aside from the press line, Lohan’s duty at the premiere was to spin a 10-foot-high “wheel of luck” that had symbols corresponding to tickets held by fans. The winning tickets let fans into the screening and after-party.
“I’m doing Vanna White here,” Lohan offered before the spin.
At the W Hotel after-party, invited fans took enough cell-phone camera photos of themselves with the cast to fill a Tiger Beat special edition.
