Lionsgate makes Wall call

Exec will oversee development for broadcast and cable

Barbara Wall has joined Lionsgate Television as senior VP, reporting to programming/production prexy Kevin Beggs.

Wall will oversee development for broadcast and cable, as well as current programming.

Lionsgate’s primetime portfolio includes the Showtime comedy “Weeds,” USA drama “The Dead Zone,” Lifetime’s “Missing” and ABC Family’s “Wildfire.” Studio also recently came aboard Lifetime’s upcoming office comedy “Lovespring.”

Wall was most recently exec VP at Heel and Toe Films, where she helped develop the pilot for Fox drama “House” and the CBS skein “Century City.” Before that, she was a senior exec at Landscape Entertainment, where she worked on NBC’s “Medical Investigation.”

“Barbara has terrific creative instincts, excellent industry relationships and the management skills necessary to further advance the goals of our expanding television business,” Beggs said.

Exec also held positions at 20th Century Fox, where she supervised development on the pilots for “24” and “The Education of Max Bickford”; TNT; and Fox Broadcasting.
