Gotham’s ‘Blonde’ ambition tour

Cinema Society screens classic film

Do blondes really have more fun? It’s a question that may rankle brunettes, but the fair-haired set was certainly given preferential treatment at the Cinema Society’s screening of the classic “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” on Tuesday night.

The after-party celebrating David Yurman‘s new boutique on the second floor of Bloomingdale’s Soho was full of them — real and fake –including co-host Sybil Yurman, Ivanka and Ivana Trump, Beth Ostrosky, society staples Amanda Hearst and Nina Griscom and model Jessica Stam.

Some non-canary-haired guests even donned wigs to fit in. “It’s itchy,” one wig-wearer complained, adding that she was skipping out on the party to “save her scalp.” Meanwhile, Yurman tried unsuccessfully to get some dancing going. “This is not a dancing group,” she bemoaned, “I wish I had invited Damon Dash!”
