France honors top three TV exports

'Lyoko,' 'Man,' 'Dolmen' feted at industry awards

PARIS — Kids’ toon “Code Lyoko,” three part docu series “Becoming a Man” and the drama series “Dolmen” have been named France’s most successful TV exports this year.

French promotional org TV France International presented winners with its export awards at the Gallic TV industry’s annual producer of the year ceremony Monday night.

In the main competition, a jury led by docu director Jacques Malaterre gave Kuiv Productions the top producer honor. Shingle was behind “Chirac,” a recently aired two part docu about France’s President Jacques Chirac. Best young producer prize went to Temps Noir for “Les Ombres du bagne,” about France’s notorious penal colonies off the coast of French Guyana.
