The Summer Olympics are two years away, but gymnastics junkies can get their fix with Disney’s “Stick It,” which premiered Monday at the El Capitan.

Director Jessica Bendinger, who competed in gymnastics as a preteen, channeled her love for competitive girls’ sports first by writing hit cheerleader pic “Bring It On” and now into writing and directing “Stick It.”

At the after-party, at Hollywood & Highland’s Loggia restaurant, thesp Vanessa Lengies said the actors trained for four months to bring their gymnastics skills up to snuff: “We got really ripped!”

Bendinger said she wanted to portray the difficult time between adolescence and adulthood, bringing in the theme of civil disobedience to give the sporty teenpic some heft.

Producer Gail Lyon said with a female director, producer and largely femme cast, the production was “the home of girl power.”
