Sharon Merle-Lieberman has jumped from NBC to 20th Century Fox TV, where she’ll serve as vice president of marketing.
Also, the studio has bumped Casey Kyber up to vice president of research. Both execs report to marketing senior VP Steven Melnick.
Merle-Lieberman previously served as senior director of marketing at the NBC Agency, where she handled off-air consumer marketing for primetime. Most recently, that meant handling the net’s Netflix promotion — which sent out advance screeners of “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” and “Kidnapped” — and iTunes sneak downloads of the “Heroes” pilot.
At 20th, she’ll handle marketing and promotion for studio skeins, working with producers, networks, Internet portals and other News Corp. companies.
“(Merle-Lieberman) will help us as content producers to best take advantage of the increasing number of platforms available to build awareness for our shows and communities for our fans,” Melnick said. “She helped spearhead a number of innovative marketing initiatives during her years at NBC.”
Kyber handles the studio’s research duties, including ratings analysis, series awareness and focus group testing.
She joined 20th in 2000 as manager of research and marketing. Prior to the studio, she worked as a research analyst at CBS.
