‘Somewhere’ rights nabbed by Davenport

Producer Ken Davenport (“Altar Boyz”) has acquired the theatrical stage rights to the Richard Matheson novel “Somewhere in Time.”

Time-traveling romance was turned into a 1980 film starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour.

Davenport will develop the story into a tuner, with Matheson, the “Twilight Zone” scribe whose novels include “I Am Legend” and “A Stir of Echoes,” contributing to the book. A composer-lyricist has not yet been chosen.
