Signature sets Wilson lineup

Santiago-Hudson will helm play

Ruben Santiago-Hudson, the thesp who won a Tony for the original Rialto version of August Wilson’s “Seven Guitars,” will helm the Signature Theater Company’s new production of the play, set to bow July 31.

Cast will include Stephen McKinley Henderson (another veteran of Wilson plays, including “Jitney”), Brenda Pressley (“Dreamgirls”) and Charles Weldon, co-founder of the Negro Ensemble Company.

“Guitars,” which runs through Sept. 23, kicks off a season at Off Broadway’s Signature devoted to Wilson, who died last year. “Two Trains Running” begins perfs in November, with “King Hedley II” skedded for February.
