Tony Award winner Chuck Cooper (“The Life”) and Deborah Gibson will star in a new musical, “Saint Heaven,” a six-hander receiving its world preem at the Stamford (Conn.) Center for the Arts’ Rich Forum June 1-11.

Show, which features a four-piece combo, centers on a young doctor who returns to his hometown of St. Heaven, Ky., for his father’s funeral. His plans to leave are complicated when he meets and falls in love with a young black woman who has the gift of speaking in tongues.
“Saint Heaven” is part of SCA Stages, which supports new work in all stages of development.
