John Leguizamo, Hector Elizondo and Fernanda Montenegro have joined the cast of “Love in the Time of Cholera,” directed by Mike Newell.

The trio join Javier Bardem, Benjamin Bratt and Giovanna Mezzogiorno in the adaptation of the Gabriel Garcia Marquez book.

Scott Steindorff is producing through his Stone Village banner, with “The Pianist” scribe Ron Harwood adapting the tale of a man in romantic pursuit of a woman over five decades.

Stone Village is fully financing the film; New Line is set to distribute domestically.  Production is slated to begin Sept. 4 in Cartagena, Colombia, and London.
