Producer Anthony Bregman has ankled the Gotham-based This Is That banner to launch a shingle called Likely Story.
Partners Anne Carey and Ted Hope remain at the 4-year-old banner, which has credits including “21 Grams,” “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and “Friends With Money.”
This Is That head of biz affairs Diana Victor remains, but exec Stefanie Azpiazu leaves to join Likely Story as veep of development and production.
Bregman’s upcoming Likely projects include Charlie Kaufman’s directorial debut “Synecdoche, New York,” as well as one pic by helmer Jesse Peretz and two by Nicole Holofcener.
This will partner on one of the upcoming Holofcener films.
Bregman, Carey and Hope — previously a producing troika housed at indie banner Good Machine — formed This Is That after the sale of Good Machine to Universal in 2002.
Other This credits include “American Splendor,” “Thumbsucker,” and the upcoming “Fast Track.”
