Reed’s ‘Out’ in at Edinburgh fest

A digitally restored version of helmer Carol Reed’s “Odd Man Out” will close the Edinburgh Intl. Film Festival. The film and fest both launched in 1947.

The British noir starring James Mason will also get a theatrical re-release through Park Circus.

Fest will host a retrospective of helmer Mitchell Leisen, something fest artistic director Shane Danielsen considers long overdue.

The full lineup of the fest, which runs Aug. 12-27, will be unveiled July 12.
